Nike's 'Write the Future' Disaster

All the star players featured in the ad have been written off from South Africa's future world cup champions book...

Nike's WRITE THE FUTURE ad is awesome (didn't even expect Homer Simpson to be in it LOL) you can have a looksie at the full length of all the compiled ads:

However everyone in the ad has gone home. Last night's 1-0 victory for Spain officially sent off the last featured player, C. Ronaldo of Portugal. Below are the players featured in the Nike's ad and their order of disappearance:

Ronaldinho (Brazil)

Injured even before the FIFA 2010 World Cup began, hence unable to play for his country's team. We really hoped it wasn't the samba-robics...

Fabio Cannavaro (Italy)

Humiliated in the group stage with his team's draw with New Zealand and Paraguay (the latter advanced way further into quarter finals)

Frank Ribery (France)

Annihilated in the group stage with the French team's lost to Mexico and South Africa.

Didier Drogba (Cote d'Ivoire / Ivory Coast)

With several injuries plaguing him, the African team went packing early as aggregate was not on their side.

Wayne Rooney (England)

Having draw results with USA (1:1) and Algeria (0:0) the Germans sealed their fate in a 4:1 defeat in the Group of 16 stage.

Cristiano Ronaldo (Portugal)

Although the team annihilated North Korea 7-0 and moved into 2nd Stage, a beautiful goal by David Villa of Spain sent the entire Portuguese team home. And yes he dived a lot in the match as usual. Totally believable...

Finals Semester 1, 2010

It All Comes to This...
As K4L tradition dictates I shall post a "wish you all the best for finals" post, and here it is. This will be my last such post as it will be my final finals for the degree program. My last finals ain't going easy on me as well with double papers back-to-back on the same day as shown below:

I have already met Marketing of Services 311 last week as a take home exam. Now my second match will be with Retail Marketing and Distribution 311 at 3:30pm-5:40pm followed by the third and last match with Event Management 304 at 6:45pm - 8:55pm. With little time to recuperate, eat, empty bowels etc., add in the cold winter and the pain of sitting for hours and writing frantically till hand cramps, my final finals will be a harsh one.

All the best to all my comrades no matter where you are or what course you are taking. These dark hours shall be the glorious moments of our life. See you all at the end of it all! VICTORY IS OURS!

How to Loop YouTube Videos

Who needs 'Play' button when you can loop that YouTube song from 10pm - 10am

This is a simple trick for those who tend to be busy, DO NOT WANT to click Play again when the video is over, and really want to let the YouTube video play on repeat non-stop.

STEP 1
Head over to YouTube and find the video you want.

Step 2
At the address bar, add in the word repeat before the .com. Then press ENTER. See below for example:

Step 3
You will be redirected to YouTube Repeat and your video will be played on loop automatically. Enjoy!

Infectonator: World Domination Review

A dose of senseless pixelated violence of a zombie apocalypse is recommended during finals... TANK!!! PARAH! PARAH!

Remember how all zombie games usually let you kill hordes of zombies? Well, this one lets you turn people into zombies. INFECTONATOR: WORLD DOMINATION is a sequel to INFECTONATOR, and yes I was grinning and LOLing all the way watching panicking pixelated people running away from my pixelated zombies who were wreaking havoc from pixelated Jamaica to Melbourne. Maintaining its 8-bit graphics and music style, WORLD DOMINATION also retained its basic point-and-click-and-enjoy-the-ensuing-chaos gameplay but now you will have to plan well due to its new features.

The first noticeable new feature is the ability to play around world (or dominate it, as the title suggests). Starting from Africa, you will have to infect and destroy towns and cities using zombies. You'll earn cash that can be used to upgrade your zombie horde by doing so, and new regions will be unlocked as you progress.
Each region demonstrates its demographical uniqueness in-game. For example while 'infecting' Indo-China you can expect to see stereotyped Asian pedestrians. The pedestrians also express mundane or hilarious monologues e.g. pre-attack Singaporeans uttering "Gotta get dollars" (LOL), or Malaysians shouting "Oh Tuhan! Zombies" or Iraqis screaming "Mashallah, infidels!" during an attack.
Also, several regions hold a special pedestrian that must be infected in order to unlock SPECIAL infected that adds up to the humor e.g. when you infect Colonel Sanders you'll be able to spawn Col. Sandars zombie who spawns zombie chickens. Each special infected has their own unique attack as well as homage/spoof e.g. Tank pays homage to Left 4 Dead, MJ zombie does the Thriller dance accompanied by 8-bit Thriller music to stun everyone on the map. These special infected can also be upgraded.
With all these combined you have a classic but gory 'stress-reliever'. For example the town of Aceh in Indonesia region map below. Yes, that guy in white t-shirt can "Cuci mata dulu ah" for now because moments later...
...hordes of zombies terrorises the place, with a Ranald McD zombie defecating(?) infected hamburgers, MJ zombie moonwalking the army to death, and other chaos that cause the locals to scream "Apa-apaan ini?" and "Parah! Parah!". I must be sick, but the gore and hilarity portrayed made me ROFLMFAO and forget about worldly worries.
After each attack, apart from the money, you will also get a news report to show what you've done. Lookie the damaged I've done to Perth:
You complete the game when you've destroyed all the towns and cities in the world including the North Pole (wtf?). For me I did it in 188 days, kinda slow since I jumped between regions and continued LOLing at favourite hotspots.
Infectonator: World Domination is a great successor to the first title with these new features. The ability to turn people in zombies has made me happy. Hence I'm going to give it:

Final Finals

The Feeling of Being in Your Final Semester is... Unexplainable
.
I'm done with my first paper which was a take home exam last Tuesday. It was no easy task, considering a lot of things happened (such as the passing of HAM 4520 which I had no time to blog about, yeah my laptop's dead R.I.P. HAM 4520 2007 - 3/6/2010).
.
And lately I've been hogging the labs to study from midnight till morning. I admit, I'm addicted to going to labs every midnight and it's not because of the School of Marketing female students there (none available after all done with their assessments). Only a handful of students seated a few computers apart left to accompany me, besides the chips, cookies, healthy carbonated and caffeinated drinks. It's the sheer silence and "look-everyone-else-is-studying" that gives the placebo effect that pressures me to abandon Facebook and study till morn.
.
This addiction literally changed my biological clock. My body's so used to caffeine I'm literally pissing caffeine during toilet breaks. And I still get enough sleep from noon to dusk to even play Guitar Hero with mates from 7pm-9pm before the whole cycle starts again. It's 4am now I guess I should head back to writing notes and revising theories for my remaining 8 hours. My last 2 papers would be hard as they are back-to-back from 3pm-9pm non-stop on Friday 18th, in the same venue in this cold winter. (To my comrades whom I promised KFC after finals, I'm still on). Until then, the countdown timer will serve as a reminder to my long awaited freedom.
.
I've been waiting for it for 4 years. 4 years far too long... the feeling of getting close to what you've been working hard for so long is... hard to be put into words... you must experience it yourself... see you at the other side comrades!

Motivate Me: Hava Nagila

הבה נגילה ונשמחה

DISCLAIMER: Despite what the Zionists did lately, I reassure the audience that I did not bring up this song purposely to invoke any pro or anti-semitic sentiments. I would like to stress out that I split governmental/religious sentiments from culture and not one of the crowd that chants "DEATH TO ISRAEL" while deleting the Jewish menorah in the Microsoft Word clipart. I admire worldly culture and Hava Nagila happens to be one of the folk songs I love. P/S: I'll make it clear I'm okay with Jews (there are some on campus) but I don't like Zionists. Same like how I like Muslims but not Islamic Terrorists.

At the eve of the finals, I can be seen or heard humming to Hava Nagila at the end of the semesters. It's a celebration song and here it goes;

Hava nagila, hava nagila (Let's rejoice, let's rejoice)
Hava nagila venis'mecha (Let's rejioice and be happy)
Repeat

Hava neranena, hava neranena (Let's sing, let's sing)
Hava neranena venis'mecha (Let's sing and be happy)

Uru, uru achim (Awake, awake brothers)
Uru achim belev same'ach (Awake brothers with a happy heart)

Hava Nagila Guitar
Hava Nagila Epic Dance
Hava Nagila Trance (WARNING! BASS REQUIRED)
