Alright, Sibu Gym has relocated to a new location at Dewan Suarah. It's at the Dewan's left handside and under the signboard shown in the pic above (I missed it the first few days after relocation because it was hidden by trees and the entrance wasn't so obvious). The good news is everything it is now all in one level. And it is also now air-conditioned and well ventilated than the previous place near Public Bank. The equipment are all from the old place but they're in good shape. A vending machine selling drinks would be appreciated, and I saw one being installed during the writing of this post.

 Must get those biceps ripped!

The fees remain the same. For non-members it costs RM7.00 per entry and members will need to pay a monthly fee of RM25.00 (male) and RM20.00 (female). For students the fees are RM20.00 (male) and RM15.00 (female). Pensioner pays RM15.00. They're open from 8am - 10pm and closes on Sundays.

If you love racing cars, modifying cars, putting guns and rocket launchers on your cars, you must download this game.

If you enjoyed watching the movie Death Race (with Jason Statham) you'll enjoy this little beastie of a game. It's a racing game involving modifying your cars and equipping it with weapons as you try to outrun, outgun and outlast your opponents who are also armed to the teeth, well, rims.

The story line is fairly weak and short as it is about you, a rogue driver caught by the authorities to help hunt down another rogue drive (just like Fast & Furious). But the game compensates the short story with entertaining adrenaline fueled race with AI or other human players online. Plus the mini-games and silly racer cameos makes this app stand out from the other death racing games.

Graphics are impressive and runs well even on my old 3GS, the music is awesome and the controls are easy to master. A true gem, 5 stars!

Even the loading screen is already awesome.

You have wide selection of vehicles from vans to monster trucks.

Then you can modify your preferred vehicle into a war machine.

The race can get intense and ala bumper cars. Clear your path with your guns.

The more you earn the better car you can unlock.

 Just be careful, wrecked cars stay wrecked even after the race and you'll need money to do the repairs. I wonder if mechanics are qualified to fix a bent minigun...

Did I mention better cars? You can also change the colours.

The racers and achievements are quite hilarious. 'Destroy Malaysian' meant that I just mowed down an AI boss racer from Malaysia.. and J.Q. Dai doesn't sound Malaysian...

If you love those cook-and-serve games or just wanna see life as Spongebob Squarepants from behind the grill, this is the perfect game for you!

I'm gonna make this short. Order Up!! is one of those rare games that is actually fun, addictive, impressive graphics (runs well on my aging iPhone 3GS) and will actually make you feel hungry just making those food your customers ordered.

In this game you play as a one-man-army chef who cooks all the food of a restaurant. The game mechanics are simple you can grasp it within minutes. Customers will come into your restaurant, order some food available in your menu (can be added by buying new food recipes) and then it's up to you to prepare a delicious gourmet for your hungry patrons. Each food requires different methods of preparing; you'll be tapping you screen to chop the steak, slide up and down to slice and swipe madly to peel vegetables.

Apart from that this game also has a simple story line and more restaurants can be unlocked through in0game purchases of pure hard work earned silver coins. Highly recommended (watch out for battery consumption, you might cook until you won't notice your phone is almost out of juice). 5 stars!

Bandong Gym Review

Located in Bandong just on top of Agro Bazaar K Shoppe, you can find the latest addition of fitness and body building facility in Sibu. To get there you must get up the stairs on the left side of the block. See picture for more details.

I really enjoyed the ambient there. For one, there is the new gym aura and the red, black and white tone compensated by hip hop and rap music gave a more aggressive mood compared to other gyms. The people there are friendly too and disciplined as they put back the dumbbells and weights on their racks. The open-air design allows faster recovery after a heavy workout and feels less stuffy. But by 7pm expect more BBQ smoke and delicious aroma to enter the building as the hawkers in Bandong below begin to cook satay and whatnot.

There's only one level (so far as I could visibly explore) but the equipment are all adequate for the few chaps working out with you.

For a relatively cheap RM5 per entry (non member) you'll like it if you prefer a fresh and aggressive body building environment. (Terribly sorry, forgot how much membership cost, but I think it's RM25-RM30 per month). Plus if you prefer privacy, new equipment, and friendly advises from fellow bros and trainers,  do check out Bandong Gym.

Stressful Valentine's Birthday

The past weeks have been so stressful for me. And to keep up with my now 6 kids I think I fooled my body into thinking it's fighting a bear for a week. The stress hormones released are detrimental, but on the bright side I burned calories fast enough to lose some grams. Work AND get in shape, jyeah!

Maybe I should avoid calling my SBUs and projects "kids" as what some had advised, I get forever alone because of it. Owh well at least they all have grown up.

Latest project. It's so epic the picture got out of the blog's frame limit.

On the side note it's Valentine's Day and that means it's Kampua4Life's 5th birthday. So happy birthday dear bloggie, although I hadn't post new things often like in the old days.

And also another side note I wasn't forever alone this V-Day, I think I was just too rusty and haven't been in the game for a long time. I'm glad you liked red roses :)

Those dogs can smell my fear and anxiety despite the poker face. Happy V-Day!

Alright it's the year of the water dragon and the dragon is a very auspicious animal among the other 11 animals in the Chinese calender (each year another animal who won the race Buddha conducted e.g. dog, goat, monkey etc.)

Ideally people would rush to get married or make dragon year babies (it's not too late until April, if you know what I mean. But some people would go against the idea as it's not that good of a year. Dragon kids will most likely have to compete in a heavily competitive environment filled with fellow Dragonborns due to previous efforts of making a lot of Dragon babies. This competition endures throughout the Dragonborn's education, work, marriage(?) etc.

Anyways Googling what holds for everyone for the year of the Dragon is shabby (seriously, so many different interpretations). But generally we all should be optimistic about this year. Go with the flow.

As for me, it's my year so let's make it legend-wait-for-fus-ro-dahhh-dary!

Wikipedia Blackout

Some posts were trending in 9Gag telling us about the blackout in Wikipedia. I checked it out and truly enough I was shown with this screen:

So what happened? Wikipedia has made its stance clear to go up against SOPA (Stop Online Piracy Act) and PIPA (Protect Intellectual Property Act). Basically these Acts will censor a number of the content on the world wide web and prevent access to free and open Internet. They will not stay idle and allow such oppression on the flow of information to happen. Kampua4Life for one supports the cause to prevent SOPA from materializing. Information should not be manipulated nor only selected information be distributed lest we want to live in a fascist Internet age.

Fire in Sungai Merah

I was having a nap when a friend buzzed me about a fire in Sungai Merah, or more precisely pronounced as Sungei Merah (Red River, dark red on normal days Teh C Peng during flood). This is the second fire I've known about to occur within a month in Sibu with the first one in Bandong. 

The fire gutted the lot but firemen managed to put it out before further damage could be done.

Rumors has it that a faulty air conditioner sparked the flames so please do check your homes and business premises regularly for any wiring or electrical problems.

Strange Rumbling Sounds in Samarahan, Sarawak

Finally some real X-Files material happening in Sarawak. Okay the full article is here but here's the summary of what happened.

During the wee hours of January 11 and 12 several people in Kota Samarahan heard strange ominous sounds apparently coming from the sky. The sound of unexplained nature, lasted from around 2-5am. Some managed to record it (although choppy due to phone quality) and the effort to find the source did not yield any answers. If you're not sure what to listen for, it sounds like someone snoring.

There are 2 theories. The first was the palm oil factory about 8 kilometers away was still operating yet a quick rush there showed the facility was closed and the sound persisted. The second is the High Frequency Active Auroral Research Program or HAARP. The HAARP is a project by US and some other parties to develop ionosphere (the outer atmosphere) based technology. To conspiracy theorists HAARP allows manipulation of weather and earthquakes we see happening today. Either way the HAARP caused the sounds they heard in Samarahan.

Too bad the news came to me a bit late and the strange phenomenon stopped after 12 January 2012. Later that day there was a 7.3 Richter scale earthquake in Sumatra. So were the conspiracy theorists right about the HAARP or was it just a coincidence?

Apparently we're not the only ones experiencing this unexplained phenomenon. Strange ominous sounds have been reported all over the world since 2011. No worries these guys have different gadgets so the quality is better. Get your pop corns ready, we're going for a marathon of strange ominous bass-like sounds.
