Black Screen of Death

And we thought XP's Blue Screen of Death [?] or Vista's red variation was deadly, now comes the all not-so-new Black variation of the BSoD. Me and my mates were busy compiling 180+ x 30++ lines of numerical data at one of the labs until we had to moved out due to a class that wwill soon take place in that lab. So we packed up and moved to the next lab. There were other students in there compiling their own work. And as we were about to sit down, all the idle and active LCD screens in the lab went black.

A snapshot 5 seconds after the BSoD. I think I was so stressed at that time I just LOLed looking at others staring at their blank screens. Luckily no one got so excited to the point of screaming profanities and smashing stuff.

10 seconds later all the PCs rebooted. LAWL. Talk about near-data-death experience.
Imagine the rest of the students who didn't save or backup their last 1 hour worth of work into their pendrives. And do take into account it's already Week 11, a zero hour week where assignments and studies are crucial before finals after Week 12.

Some people seemed delighted

And as for me, I can only XD at the screen after it rebooted.

All was good a few minutes later anyways. Yay. Lesson learnt. Always turn-on the 'autosave' feature and do backup every 1 minute or less, depending on how close you are to your dateline.
